About us

Crunchr is the People Analytics platform for forward-thinking HR teams. Our team has been built with the same attention and care as our product, and we value motivated and impact-driven team players. For more information about us, you can visit the Crunchr career page.

Please note: we don't use AI in our selection process, a real person reads each submission, so please keep your application authentic and relevant.

Some context about the role

Crunchr’s Customer Success team sits at the heart of what we deliver, combining engaged customer relationships with deep technical work to transform scattered HR data into actionable insights. We are now looking for a senior, hands-on Lead Analytics Engineer to own and elevate the engineering side of this equation.

On one side, you'll be the technical owner for a set of customer accounts, working directly with clients on complex, real-world HR data challenges and being the person they rely on when things get difficult. On the other, you will be working with your US counterpart to rethink and rebuild how we approach data engineering across the CS team: the pipelines, the standards, the tooling, and the practices that everyone works to.

Our codebase has years of history behind it, and part of this role is navigating that pragmatically. We're looking for someone who can find smart solutions within real constraints and gradually move things forward, without getting stuck on how things ideally should be.

The total CS team consists of 10 team members working as Customer Success Managers, Analytics Engineers and Customer Success Specialists across the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and US (Boston). You will be based in Amsterdam, and will report directly to the Head of CS (based in Boston). You will work closely with our CSMs on customer accounts and with the Engineering department for technical queries.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Be the primary technical point of contact for your own customer accounts, owning issues end-to-end and ensuring a high quality of delivery.

  • Set and uphold technical standards across code quality, pipeline architecture and best practices.
Lead the technical evolution of CS data engineering. Identify what's not working, design better approaches, and drive the changes needed to get there, in close collaboration with your US counterpart.

  • Apply your technical expertise to design and build scalable data pipelines that bring together scattered HR data into Crunchr.

  • Play a key role in setting up and improving HRIS integrations, from scoping with the customer to building and maintaining scripts and connectors across systems like Workday and SAP SuccessFactors.
Be the senior technical voice with customers.

  • Lead data-related discussions, advise on complex problems, and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Mentor other Analytics Engineers on technical depth, code quality and engineering thinking through example and active support.

  • Actively bring AI into how we work, finding places where it can improve speed, quality or consistency across the team and customer base.

  • Experience setting technical standards and raising the quality of those around you.
  • Comfortable advising and presenting to senior stakeholders and able to translate complexity clearly.
  • Affinity with the HR or People Analytics domain.
  • Actively embrace AI as part of how you work, whether that’s using AI tools for improvements, automating repetitive tasks or finding smarter ways to solve customer challenges.
