As a DevOps Engineer at Crunchr, you will build tools, CI/CD processes and test infrastructures to help our development teams develop and ship their features fast and fault-free. You will be part of our Product & Tech team, whose overall objective is to ideate, design and deploy solutions and product improvements that enable HR teams to lead business conversations with impactful insights. 

You will report to the Engineering Manager of one of our feature teams, whose focus is driving the development of core functionalities. Here, you will be hands-on, contributing to the quality and reliability of our products by actively refining, testing, and ensuring fault-free delivery of features that directly impact our customers.

Additionally, you will be part of a DevOps/QA guild with the other DevOps and QA Engineers working across other development teams. This guild ensures that best practices are shared and implemented, cross-team initiatives such as releases or defect analyses are coordinated, and CI/CD pipelines, systems and other workflows are standardized. Our approach to quality at Crunchr is pragmatic and integrated, allowing our teams to ship the quality they strive for. 

Some of your responsibilities are:

• Enhance developer experience by improving the build system, IDE integrations and CI tooling.
• Develop, execute and automate test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Drive the weekly release cycle and make it scale for the future.
• Monitor product stability, production data, and regressions, and act on them.
• Create and exemplify development & testing guidelines. 

MUSTS

• You have a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• You can code and have 3-6 years of experience as a software engineer.
• You are proficient with docker and have experience working beyond basic container usage, such as writing multi-stage Dockerfiles, understanding image layers and caching mechanisms, and troubleshooting container runtime issues.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• You are a great fit with our core values.
• You want to work out of our Amsterdam office at least 2 days per week.

NICE TO HAVES

• You are familiar with Python and TypeScript.
• You have an affinity with tools we use or desire to learn (Docker, CircleCI, Cypress, Django, Kubernetes).
• You have experience building products that involve data analytics.
• You have experience in SaaS start-up or scale-up environment.
• You have an interest/affinity with HR and People Analytics topics.
